How does it affect the balance?
When someone contributes to the group fund:
- Their balance goes up (they're in credit)
- The money is available for group expenses
- When those funds are spent, the balance adjusts
Juan contributes $10,000 to the fund. Then $8,000 is spent on food split 4 ways. Juan's balance ends up at +$8,000 ($10,000 minus the $2,000 that's his share).
View contribution history
You can see all contributions made:
- Who contributed and how much
- Date and time of the contribution
- Currency used
- Notes or comments
The group fund is for money contributions. Expenses are for when something is purchased. If you paid for dinner, log it as an expense, not as a group fund contribution.
