If you no longer need a trip, you can delete it. This action permanently removes all expenses, photos, and associated data.
Deleting a trip removes ALL data: expenses, photos, itinerary, checklist. It can't be undone. Make sure you really want to delete it before proceeding.
How to delete a trip
Open the trip
Open the trip you want to delete.
Open settings
Tap the settings icon or the three dots.
Tap "Delete trip"
Find the option at the bottom of the settings. It's in red.
Confirm
You'll be asked to confirm. Tap "Delete" to permanently remove it.
Who can delete?
Creator only
Only the person who created the trip can delete it
Participants
Others can only leave the trip, not delete it
Leave without deleting
If you're not the creator but want to stop participating:
- Go to the trip settings
- Tap "Leave trip"
- The trip will still exist for everyone else
- Your expenses will remain in the trip
If you leave a trip, the expenses you added stay there. If you want to remove your expenses before leaving, do it manually.
What happens to everyone else?
If you delete a trip:
- All participants immediately lose access
- The trip disappears from everyone's list
- Participants aren't notified (it just disappears)
- No one can recover the data
Before deleting, consider exporting a PDF with the trip summary if you want to keep a record.
