Expense predictions use artificial intelligence to estimate how much you'll spend by the end of your trip. They update automatically as you log more expenses.
How does it work?
The system analyzes several factors to make the prediction:
Trip days
How many days are left and the current daily average
Trend
Whether spending is going up, down or staying flat
Categories
Spending patterns by type (food, transport, etc.)
History
Data from your similar previous trips
How to view predictions
Open your trip
Open the trip where you want to see the prediction.
Go to "Prediction"
Find the "Prediction" or "Analysis" option in the menu.
Check the results
You'll see the estimated total spend with a confidence range.
What it shows
The predictions screen includes:
- Estimated total spend: How much you're expected to spend on the whole trip
- Range: Likely minimum and maximum estimate
- Daily average: What you're spending per day
- Comparison: Whether you're spending more or less than usual
- By category: Prediction broken down by expense type
Predictions get more accurate after a few days of travel. Early on they can vary quite a bit.
Accuracy
Predictions improve over time:
- Day 1-2: Initial estimate, may vary a lot
- Day 3-5: More data, better accuracy
- Day 6+: High confidence in the prediction
Predictions are a guide. Unexpected expenses can change the final result.
