How to scan a receipt

New expense
Go to create a new expense in the trip.

Tap "Scan receipt"
Find the button with the camera icon.

Take the photo
Frame the full receipt and take the photo.

Wait for analysis
AI processes the image and extracts the data.

Review and save
Check the data looks right and save the expense.
What data does it extract?
- Total amount: The amount due
- Business: Name of the place
- Date: When the purchase was made
- Category: Food, transport, etc.
- Currency: What currency the receipt is in
- Items: What was purchased (if legible)
Tips for better results
- Good lighting, no shadows
- Receipt flat, no creases
- Photo in focus, no blur
- Make sure the whole receipt is visible
Always review it
AI is very accurate but not perfect. Always check the extracted data before saving, especially the amount.
