The Expense Map lets you see on an interactive map exactly where you made each expense during the trip. It's a visual way to explore your financial journey.
What does the map show?
Markers
Each expense appears as a pin on the map
Clusters
Nearby expenses are grouped automatically
Filters
Filter by category, date or amount

How to use the map
Open your trip
Open the trip you want to see the map for.
Tap "Map"
Find the Map icon in the tools menu.
Explore the map
Navigate, zoom in and tap markers to see details.
Expense location
For an expense to appear on the map, it needs a location. You can add a location in a few ways:
- Automatic: When you create the expense, KUENTAS can use your current location
- Manual: Search for and select the place on the map
- By country: If you added countries to the trip, expenses are linked to that country
Enable location when you create expenses so they appear on the map automatically. It's more accurate than adding it later.
Visualizations
The map lets you discover interesting things:
- Where you spent the most during the trip
- Areas where you only ate vs where you shopped
- Your geographic spending journey day by day
- Compare spending across different cities
Your expense locations are only visible to you and the trip participants. We don't share location data with third parties.
