With voice expenses you can log expenses by speaking — no keyboard needed. Just describe the expense out loud and KUENTAS interprets it automatically.
How to use voice expenses
Open your trip
Open the trip where you want to add the expense.
Tap the microphone
Find the microphone icon next to the add expense button.
Speak
Describe the expense naturally. For example: "Taxi to the airport, twenty euros".
Review and confirm
KUENTAS interprets what you said and shows you the expense. Check it and tap "Save".
Example phrases
You can say things like:
- "Dinner at pizza place, thirty-five euros"
- "Museum entry, 20 dollars"
- "Uber to the hotel, fifteen dollars, paid by Juan"
- "Supermarket, 45 euros split among everyone"
- "Coffee and croissants, 8 euros, just for me"
Detects currencies
"Euros", "dollars", "pesos" — it understands different currencies
Assigns participants
"Paid by Maria" — it recognizes who paid
Auto split
"Among everyone" or "just for me" — it understands how to split
Edit before saving
After speaking, KUENTAS shows you the interpreted expense. Before saving you can:
- Correct the amount if it got it wrong
- Change the description
- Adjust the currency
- Change who paid or how it's split
Speak clearly with specific numbers. "Fifteen euros" is understood better than "about fifteen euros or so".
Languages
Voice recognition works in English. It detects:
- Numbers as words ("twenty", "forty-five")

- Different accents
The first time you use this feature, the app will ask for microphone access. You need to allow it for it to work.
