If you added a currency you no longer need, you can remove it from your trip. There are a few important things to keep in mind though.
How to remove a currency
Open your trip
Open the trip where you want to remove the currency.
Go to Currencies
Tap "Currencies" from the menu.
Select the currency
Tap the currency you want to remove.
Tap "Remove"
Find the remove option and confirm.
Restrictions
You can't remove a currency if it has expenses attached to it. You'll need to delete or edit those expenses first to change their currency.
You can't remove the trip's main currency. You'll need to set another currency as main first.
Expenses in that currency
If the currency has expenses attached, you have two options:
Edit expenses
Change each expense's currency to another available one
Delete expenses
Remove the expenses in that currency (they're gone for good)
Why remove a currency?
A few reasons you might want to remove one:
- You added it by mistake
- You're not going to use that currency on the trip anymore
- You want to simplify the currency list
If you're simply not going to use a currency anymore, you don't have to remove it. Leaving it there won't affect how the trip works.
