If your trip goes through several countries with different currencies, you can add them all to log expenses in each one. KUENTAS handles the conversions for you.
How to add a currency
Open your trip
Open the trip where you want to add the currency.
Go to Currencies
Tap "Currencies" from the trip menu.
Tap "Add currency"
Press the "+" button or "Add currency".
Select the currency
Find the currency you need in the list or type its name.
Confirm
Tap the currency to add it to your trip.
Search for currencies
You can search for currencies in several ways:
- By name: "Argentine Peso", "Euro", "Dollar"
- By code: "ARS", "EUR", "USD"
- By country: "Argentina", "Spain", "Brazil"
- By symbol: "$", "€", "£"
KUENTAS has over 165 currencies available from all over the world, including all Latin American currencies.
Exchange rate
When you add a currency, KUENTAS automatically fetches the current exchange rate relative to your main currency. Rates update every hour from reliable sources.
Using the currency
Once added, the currency will appear as an option when creating expenses:
- When adding an expense, select the corresponding currency
- The amount will be converted automatically for the balance
- You'll see the expense in its original currency and the equivalent
When creating an expense, the currency selected by default is the last one you used, to speed things up.
