With the voice expense feature you can create expenses just by talking. It uses artificial intelligence to turn your voice into a complete expense without typing anything.
Voice expenses are available for users with a Premium subscription.
How to use voice expense
Open the trip
Go to the trip where you want to add the expense.
Tap the microphone button
Find the microphone icon on the screen.
Dictate the expense
Speak naturally, for example: "Lunch at the corner restaurant, 50 dollars, María paid"
Review and confirm
KUENTAS interprets what you said and shows you the expense. Check it's correct and tap "Save".
What you can say
The AI understands natural language. Some examples:
- "Taxi to the airport, 25 euros"
- "Last night's dinner, 80 dollars, split between Juan and me"
- "Gas, 40 thousand Argentine pesos, I paid"
- "Museum entry, 15 euros per person"
- "Supermarket 120 reais, only for María and Pedro"

Tips for better recognition
- Speak clearly: Take your time and pronounce numbers well
- Quiet environment: Avoid too much background noise
- Be specific: Include the amount, currency and who paid
- Use names: Say participants' names for the split
If the AI didn't interpret something correctly, you can fix it before saving or edit it later like any other expense.
Microphone permissions
You need to give KUENTAS permission to use the microphone:
- iOS: Settings → KUENTAS → Microphone → Enable
- Android: Settings → Apps → KUENTAS → Permissions → Microphone
