Expense with location

Adding a location to your expenses lets you see them on a map and remember exactly where you spent. It's especially useful on trips where you visit many places.

How to add a location

When creating the expense

Find the location button.

Choose an option

Use my location: Uses your phone's GPS (ideal if you're right there).
Search for a place: Search by name or address.

Confirm the place

Check that the pin is in the right spot.

Save the expense

The location will be saved with the expense.

Automatic location

If your GPS is on, KUENTAS can automatically suggest your current location when creating an expense.

View expenses on the map

To see all your expenses with location:

  1. Open the trip
  2. Tap the map icon
  3. You'll see all expenses pinned on the map
  4. Tap a pin to see the expense detail

Edit or remove location

If the location is wrong or you want to remove it:

  1. Edit the expense
  2. Tap the location icon
  3. Choose "Change" or "Remove location"

Location permissions

To use "My location", you need to give KUENTAS permission to access GPS:

  • iOS: Settings → KUENTAS → Location → "While using the app"
  • Android: Settings → Apps → KUENTAS → Permissions → Location
Privacy

Location is only used when you request it. We don't track your location in the background.
