Some expenses repeat during a trip: the hotel over multiple nights, daily parking, recurring transport. With the Recurring expense feature, KUENTAS automatically calculates the total by multiplying the unit amount by the number of periods.
How to create a recurring expense
Create a new expense
Open the trip and tap "Add expense" as you normally would.
Toggle on "Recurring expense"
Find the "Recurring expense" toggle and turn it on. This is a Premium feature.
Enter the unit amount
Type how much it costs per unit. For example, $50 per night.
Choose the period
Select the period type: nights, days or weeks.
Enter the quantity
Type how many periods. For example: 5 nights.
Review the calculated total
KUENTAS calculates automatically: $50 × 5 nights = $250. Check it's right and save.
No need to do the math yourself. KUENTAS multiplies the unit amount by the number of periods and shows the total in real time.
Usage examples
Hotel 5 nights
$80/night × 5 = $400 total
Parking 3 days
$15/day × 3 = $45 total
Internet 2 weeks
$10/week × 2 = $20 total
Car rental 7 days
$35/day × 7 = $245 total
Alternative: single expense
If you prefer not to use the recurring calculation, you can always log the expense as a lump-sum total directly. For example, "Hotel: $400" without breaking down the nights.
The recurring expense toggle is an exclusive KUENTAS Premium feature. If you're not Premium, you can enter the total amount directly in the amount field.
